Student Testimonial from Andrea

Lightening Fast Load Times.

The only course designed alongside the owner of Autoptimize.

Oisin, your instructor, worked with the owner and developer of Autoptimize to build this course. This very course is featured on the Autoptimize “Optimize More” tab on over a million WordPress sites worldwide.

There is no other guide or tutorial available online offering this much detail. Most are outdated, inaccurate or simply skip over the most important settings.

Each class takes you through a new batch of settings explaining when and why they should be used. You will also learn how easy it is to implement the “advanced” settings – those usually reserved for page speed professionals.

“Oisin is an excellent teacher if you want to learn how to speed up your WordPress site. He takes a sometimes complex topic and makes it easy to learn and apply.”

What is the Autoptimize Masterclass?

The Autoptimize Masterclass is an online self-paced course spread out over 10 core classes and a growing number of bonus classes. Students learn how to fix all page speed warnings found in testing tools like Google’s PageSpeed Insights, GT Metrix and Pingdom Tools.

Because Autoptimize is not a page caching plugin you will also get a bonus class showing you how to set up a compatible, and free, page caching plugin to work alongside Autoptimize for even faster load times. The page cache plugin I use is the exact one recommended by the owner and developer of Autoptimize.

There are no Autoptimize guides that even come close to the detail provided by this course. The current blog articles and YouTube videos covering “the best” Autoptimize settings offer incorrect information or skip over the most powerful settings, such as the Critical CSS and Images tab. Also, none teach you how to speed up analytics and third-party scripts the right way.

What Kind of Results Can I Expect?

Scoring 90+ in Google’s PageSpeed Insights and achieving a load time of less than 2 seconds is well within your reach. I’m not going to lie to you, if your WordPress site is on a terrible hosting package, uses a poorly coded theme and runs lots of unnecessary JavaScript then you might struggle.

However, all is not lost, you can easily fix these issues and I’m happy to offer advice along the way. I have A LOT of experience bringing WordPress sites from incredibly slow to exceptionally fast. A student recently improved their load time from 15.5 seconds to just under 2 seconds just by following along with this course.

What Makes This Course Different to Other Material Found Online?

Weeks of research, interviews and testing went into the making of this course. While you can find YouTube videos and how-to guides, they only offer a quick overview of settings. They don’t cover every single setting in detail showing you when to use each one and why. None cover the extremely powerful add-ons found in the Autoptimize Images and Critical CSS tabs.

Your course instructor worked with the owner and developer of Autoptimize to ensure each and every setting is covered accurately providing you the best page speed results. The Autoptimize Masterclass shows you how to harness the full power of Autoptimize, and if you get stuck you have one-to-one access to your tutor via the new Autoptimize Slack community.

Why Should I Care About Page Speed?

Some of the biggest names on the web have seen dramatic improvements to their profits, conversion rates and customer satisfaction through page speed optimization alone. Research by Google found a one-second delay in load time can impact conversion rates by a whopping 20%. That’s huge!

Ten years ago Amazon did their own research and found a 100 millisecond increase in load time resulted in a 1% drop in revenue. When you consider their daily revenue is about 638 million, a small slowdown results in tens of millions lost per week.

Back in 2016, Pinterest decided to conduct a page speed experiment and what they found was startling. The improvements made to their load time resulted in a 40 percent decrease in Pinner wait time, a 15 percent increase in SEO traffic and a 15 percent increase in sign-ups. Those are the kind of figures any website owner, SEO’er or marketer would drool over.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is for regular WordPress users who understand the impact a better load time will have on search rank, conversions and visitor satisfaction. If you can follow a recipe, workout, or how-to guide then you can easily follow along with this course.

You don’t need any previous coding experience. So long as you have the motivation follow along and apply the techniques described throughout this short course you’re the perfect student.

Can I Preview Some Course Material?

Absolutely, the intro class is embedded at the top of this page and you can also follow the link below to watch the course overview:

Class 2: Course Content Preview
Class 10: Using the Extra Tab

Please note: These are just videos embedded on a webpage so you can preview the class footage. The actual course has navigation menus, progress bars and everything you would expect from an online course.

What Are the Bonus Videos You Mentioned?

After you get started with the course I will add bonus content to help you increase your page speed even further. Many people don’t know this, but Autoptimize needs a separate page caching plugin to work alongside it. The first bonus class shows you the best page caching plugin to use and how to set it up to avoid conflicts.

You get a step-by-step demo if the page caching plugin recommended by the owner and developer of Autoptimize. And best of all, the plugin is absolutely free!

The other bonus classes show you how to stop JavaScript and CSS from WooCommerce and other intrusive plugins loading where they shouldn’t.

I Have More Questions, Who Should I Talk To?

If you have any questions about the course just shoot me a message. I’m more than happy to answer anything related to the course but I have lots of students to help, so general page speed advice is reserved for them. I hope you understand 🙂
